Looks like no one is going 'OpenID only' either, maybe for those reasons - sites that support it regard it as an 'option' next to a 'real' login system.

OpenID 2.0 addresses a lot of the clumsiness and certain overly-simple (naive, maybe) aspects of OpenID 1.x. Now that Yahoo is an OpenID provider, it will be interesting to see which sites start supporting OpenID from the consumer side:
